Matt Elliott became the 26th University of Hawai‘i Director of Athletics on June 30, 2025, following a distinguished career in Division I administration.  He previously spent 13 years at UCLA, notably serving as Chief Strategy Officer where he navigated the high-stakes transition from the Pac-12 to the Big Ten. His extensive background includes overseeing legal affairs, NIL policy, and negotiating record-breaking apparel deals.  An Amherst College graduate and Northwestern Law JD, Elliott’s ties to the islands began in 2005 while clerking for U.S. District Court Judge Alan C. Kay.  He is committed to building a department rooted in integrity and competitive excellence.

Where should I park?
ZONE 20 (lower campus parking structure) offers a $5 flat rate. Parking is tight and may reach capacity on weekday mornings during this time.  To ensure a timely arrival, car pooling or rideshare (e.g. Uber) is encouraged.  Location instruction and map will be included in your registration confirmation. 

What should I wear?  Business casual dress. 

Will there be a meal?  Coffee and pastries will be served.
