In 2023 we launched a special category of support. The President’s Club was initially formed by board members wanting to support the mission outside of traditional membership or sponsorship. We could not have been more pleased at how the business community embraced this initiative. By the end of 2023, the club had over 20 members.
While the number of early adopters was amazing, the caliber of those supporters was equally as impressive. We are thrilled to be supported by such long-standing pillars of the Hawaii business community.
How is the President’s Club different than membership or sponsorship?
The primary difference is tax related. While membership and sponsorship may be tax deductible as a business-related expense, they would not be deductible as a charitable donation.
However, as HSBP is a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization, a gift to the President’s Club receives no direct discounts or benefits to deduct from your non-profit contribution*.
How is the gift acknowledged? Your company name and/or logo will appear on our website to recognize the support, and you will be thanked from the podium during our events. (Anonymous donor requests are also honored.)
I need a letter for my tax records. How do I get one? Please contact us for specific requests for your gift at [email protected]
*The entire amount may be deductible as a charitable expense but please contact your individual tax consultant to ascertain your personal tax situation.
